What type of information does FamilySpy collect?
FamilySpy will log every keystroke made on the target computer and records opened documents and programs. This includes websites visited, instant messages, downloaded files, chat room sessions, e-mail messages plus it records everything with a date and time stamp. FamilySpy will also log user IDs and passwords.
Can FamilySpy be detected by the user?
FamilySpy is virtually undetectable by the user who is being monitored. It does not show up in the application list and it has an anonymous filename (fm.exe).
What happens if a family member detects FamilySpy running on the computer?
FamilySpy has a security feature so that if it is mistakenly discovered an alert box will appear stating that a Run-time error occurred.
Will FamilySpy affect the computer being monitored?
No. FamilySpy runs in the background and it will not degrade the performance of the computer being monitored.
Is FamilySpy easy to install?
Yes. First, you will need to download the FamilySpy program. The download is only 849Kb and should only take a few minutes. Once the download is complete, you will need to unzip it and run the setup program to install and configure FamilySpy on the target computer.

How do I delete FamilySpy's log?
Ensure FamilySpy is not running. Then delete the file "fam32.txt" which is located in the folder "FM" in the directory you installed FamilySpy in.
